Baseball: Gainesville rolls to another big win, 130 at Mountain View

LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Gainesville baseball team continued its dominant start to the season on Thursday in a 13-0, five inning defeat of Mountain View in Lawrenceville.

Michael Gettys nearly notched his second no-hitter of the season from the mound, yielding one hit in a complete game win that inlcuded 10 strikeouts and one walk.

Gettys also had three hits and two RBIs at the plate, though Sims Griffith provided the biggest hit for the Red Elephants (5-0), crushing a grand slam home run. Skyler Weber also had two doubles and two RBIs, while Jonathan Gettys had two hits and an RBi.

Gainesville will travel to face Habersham Central at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Airy.
