An automotive components manufacturer has won $264,000 in state incentives from N.C. Governor Beverly Perdue.?
An automotive components manufacturer has won $264,000 in state incentives as part of a plan to create 66 jobs in Laurinburg.
FCC (North Carolina) LLC, a manufacturer of automotive components, will invest more than $57 million over the next three years in an expansion of its Scotland County operations, according to a news release issued by Gov. Beverly Perdue?s office.
FCC (North Carolina) is owned by FCC (North America) Inc., whose parent company is FCC Co. Ltd. Japan. The Scotland County facility manufactures ATV clutches, ATV differential components, automotive transmission components and automotive differential components. The company currently employs more than 140 people in Laurinburg, which is located to the southwest of Fayetteville near the border with South Carolina, and is 97 miles from Raleigh.
Salaries will vary by job function, but the average annual payroll for the new jobs will be more than $1.8 million, plus benefits.
The state incentives come from the One North Carolina Fund.
